Ash Trees (Fraxinus spp.) in Urban Greenery as Possible Invasion Gates of Non-Native Phyllactinia Species

چکیده
Two Phyllactinia species have been associated with powdery mildew on leaves of ash trees (Fraxinus) in Eurasia, fraxinicola U. Braun & H.D. Shin from Southeast Asia and fraxini (DC.) Fuss Europe. Non-native are planted urban greeneries both Europe Asia, but so far, the two not reported same area. Our molecular analysis European material consisting 55 specimens 15 countries confirmed absence P. In Europe, we all three native introduced Asian species, Fraxinus. chinensis ssp. Rhynchophylla (Hance) A.E. Murray Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr, arboreta. Among 11 collections examined 3 were identified as 8 fraxinicola. The environmental niches do show significant overlap multidimensional space defined by bioclimatic variables. This suggests that is adapted to conditions prevailing most does represent an invasive threat across continent. Models potential distribution there some areas northwest could be susceptible invasion

Transcriptomic Signatures of Ash (Fraxinus spp.) Phloem
BACKGROUND Ash (Fraxinus spp.) is a dominant tree species throughout urban and forested landscapes of North America (NA). The rapid invasion of NA by emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis), a wood-boring beetle endemic to Eastern Asia, has resulted in the death of millions of ash trees and threatens billions more. Larvae feed primarily on phloem tissue, which girdles and kills the tree. While ...
